When installing a dishwasher beneath a quartz or marble counter, everything seems normal at first. Then, you get to the final mounting step. Typically, you could just mount the dishwasher to the underside of the counter so that it doesn’t tip during use. But it your kitchen counter is quartz, marble or other stone, you risk cracking the quartz by attempting to mount it to the underside. Even if you have room to place plywood between the counter and the dishwasher, you could end up drilling too far.
Don’t risk the beautiful kitchen counter! If you have a quartz or marble kitchen counter, it may be smartest to try an alternate mounting and securing method instead. Install side-cabinet mounting clips to the dishwasher. The manufacturer of the dishwasher will sell them. You just screw the clips onto the sides of the appliance, just behind the door. When the dishwasher is in pace and ready to be secured, screw the top open end of these clips to the inside walls of the cabinets.
This technique will keep the dishwasher secure and the counter safe!
